The objective and intent of this organization (founded in 1943) shall be to keep the Glen Echo school building intact in the community, that it may serve as a meeting place for the people of the community: that it will preserve old friendships and foster new ones: that it will promote unity and harmony and exemplify the highest type of American neighborliness.
